Spider monkey monitoring

As part of the monitoring team for a group of recent released spider monkeys I lived at Kawsay Center for about 6 weeks and gained invaluable experience in field studies. I became more confident in navigating the forest and was taught how to use radio tracking devices, GPS and collect data on the monkeys. I really enjoyed my time in the Amazon as it was simply amazing to live surrounded by natural beauty constantly. The housing was really comfortable and we were well provided for at all times. Raul is a dedicated and passionate professional who is always excited to share his knowledge and is a very kind and patient teacher. I highly recommend this project to anyone who may be considering it. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience and you will definitely fall in love with the Amazon and all its wonders.
