An Unforgettable Experience

From the start of my study abroad trip, Mente made Argentina feel like home. Nervous about going into a foreign country knowing absolutely no one, Mente's weekly activities were a fun way to meet other individuals who were also studying abroad in Buenos Aires. The staff was always warm and welcoming and they were always available to help sort out any problems I came across. When I ran into a housing problem my first week into the program, I was stressed and wary about a totally unexpected situation so far from home. However, Marcelo immediately put me at ease and reassured me that everything would be okay. The issue was resolved almost immediately and I ended up in a new housing situation that was better than I could have ever imagined and much more suitable for my needs! My internship placement at Manos Abiertas was also very interesting and helped me navigate and understand both Buenos Aires and its culture a lot better. Thanks to Mente, I was exposed to one of the coolest cities in the world, I was given the opportunity to travel all around Argentina and Uruguay, and I met some of my best friends to this date. If you every have the opportunity, I would highly recommend experiencing Buenos Aires and all it has to offer with Mente Argentina.
