Helped me to escape from DaDa

I used to teach with DaDa (aka "Dodo") but over the past few months I started to move over to private tutoring. I got this course originally just to fatten up my resume so that I could show students and parents my certifications. But then I actually found that I learned quite a lot it. I learned about parts of grammar that I had no idea even existed, learned about phonics, different language skills like scanning & skimming, and planning lessons with actual strategies like PPP.

After finishing the 120 hour TESOL/TEFL course I did their 80 hour online teacher course and learned a lot about TPR, using Many Cam, finding my own students, sending invoices to Chinese parents using Stripe, and so on. I left DaDa last week and i'm now privately tutoring 10 students of my own. I charge more per hour than when i worked with DaDa and get to teach using my own materials. It's much more satisfying and I've actually started to enjoy teaching online again. I couldn't recommend it more.
