It was really fun, Dr. Knowles was very informative and supportive. Edinburgh is beautiful; however, it rains a lot, so bring a rain jacket. There is so much to do, so take advantage of seeing Scotland by train. There is no need for super fancy clothes; at university, everyone is very casual. The apartment felt safe, and so did the city.

Public transportation is excellent, and getting around is easy. Make sure to visit the local markets and try some traditional Scottish food. The university facilities are top-notch, and there are plenty of resources available for research and study.

Social life is vibrant, with plenty of cafes, pubs, and cultural events to enjoy. The locals are friendly and welcoming, making it easy to feel at home. Overall, my experience was enriching both academically and personally. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a study or work opportunity in Edinburgh.
