Why I chose TEFL while living in Germany

I recently completed the TEFL Level 5 course as part of my goal to broaden my career opportunities, particularly since I’ve been living in Germany for the past two years. Moving to a new country has inspired me to seek professional paths that are both flexible and internationally relevant, and teaching English felt like a natural fit.
The course provided a comprehensive and well-structured foundation in teaching English as a foreign language. It covered essential topics such as grammar, lesson planning, classroom management, and different teaching methodologies. I especially appreciated the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application, which made the learning process both engaging and effective.
Throughout the course, I developed a deeper understanding of how to support language learners of various ages and backgrounds. It also helped me build the confidence and skills necessary to begin teaching, whether in traditional classrooms or online platforms.
Now, I feel much more prepared to take on new challenges and explore teaching opportunities that align with my lifestyle and goals. This certification has opened doors to meaningful work that I can pursue not only in Germany, but potentially anywhere in the world.
