My time in London, England this past spring were some of the best moments of my life. The people I met, the places I saw, and all that I learned from living abroad were some of the greatest things I could have experienced. Living in a city like London was such a privilege as I had access to pretty much anything I wanted to do at my fingertips. The public transportation system, or as they call it the Tube, was super convenient as I took it to and from school each day. It got me anywhere I needed to and efficiently! The culture of the city was one of my favorite parts. The different boroughs made it seem like I was experiencing a whole new city each and every time. My personal favorite being Soho, specifically the West End, as I am a total theatre nerd. The program itself was great as they provided us with housing in areas accessible in both getting us to and from school as well as local amenities we may have needed. I lived in the borough of Islington and absolutely loved it! The neighborhood was very safe and there was so much to do just within walking distance of my flat! The classes were also super interesting and there was a great variety in what you could take. I also loved how in majority of classes we went on field visits and got to experience so much of the city outside of the classroom. One of my favorite field visits was going to see Shakespeare's "Macbeth" at the Globe with my class! The professors were also fantastic and I felt as though it was really easy to connect with them as they were all both approachable and personable. The thing that is so special about London is just how much there is to do and never getting over it. This city will always have a special place in my heart and I hope someday to go back and do it all over again!
