Adventure with Atlas

My time with Atlas Volunteers in Ghana was an amazing experience. I took part in the education program for a little over six weeks. I had an incredibly meaningful time and felt extremely welcome. The locals are truly amazing—such kind and warm-hearted people who made my experience even better. Even when they have very little, they are always willing to help or offer whatever they have.

Being able to make a difference for the children or the local community, even if it was just a small one, made me feel very grateful.

Atlas had everything well organized, which felt very reassuring. It is a great organization that makes sure you have nothing to worry about. Even during my stay, Dom and Becky were always there to help me or answer any questions I had.

Living in the house with other volunteers was also a great experience.
Being able to share such an incredible journey with others is very special, and some great friendships will definitely come out of it.
The weekend trips in which you get to explore the rest of this amazing country are so much fun and I wish I had been able to participate in even more of these, because Ghana has lots to offer.

In conclusion, if you are reading this and still doubting whether you should take this step—do it! You will have a once in a lifetime experience and will forever be glad you decided to do it. Meeting all the people I've met was a privilege and being able to do something so meaningful was very fulfilling.
