My CIEE TEFL Experience

Hey everyone!

I’m going to try and summarize my experience in this short review. I did my TEFL training in the spring of 2023 while I was finishing my bachelor’s degree and it was a great experience! The course itself was very flexible and easy to navigate. I was taking 18 credits and working full time, but I was still able to complete my teaching hours and the course itself!

I think that the only part that was difficult for me was getting the paperwork together and actually traveling from Seoul to my city once I arrived in Korea. The person who was helping me told me the wrong way to get to my city and I ended up stranded in a different city for the night and had to buy a hotel room. Luckily it was very easy, but I was it was more clear since I didn’t know a lot about the transport when I first came to Korea and it was difficult to get the documents I needed. I called so many government offices to finally figure out what I needed.
