Review

My time in Barcelona was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. During my internship, I worked closely with autistic children, helping administer therapeutic techniques that supported their everyday lives. It was challenging, eye-opening, and incredibly rewarding, and it pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t expect. Alongside my internship, I took a class on food and culture in Spain, which gave me a deeper appreciation for how culture shapes daily life, and a Business Around the World course that taught me how differently people communicate and work across cultures.

Outside of school and work, I traveled as much as I could and truly embraced everything Barcelona had to offer. While the experience was amazing, it wasn’t always easy. There were moments when I felt homesick, questioned my decisions, and missed my family more than anything. During those times, I was supported by everyone around me from my coworkers and professors to the friends I made along the way. They each played a huge role in helping me grow. I leaned on them, learned from them, and took in every part of the experience, both the highs and the lows.

I would honestly recommend an experience like this to anyone who has the opportunity. This was the best and most growth-filled experience of my life, and I’ll carry everything it taught me with me forever.
