Best Time in Seville with API

Studying abroad in Seville was one of, if not the best experience of my life and API played such a large role in this unforgettable time. I was a bit nervous before leaving to study abroad, but I was able to become comfortable in Seville quickly thanks to planned dinners, experiences and tours led by API in the first few days. These experiences continued throughout the semester, and I got to go kayaking down the Guadalquivir River, go tile painting, and go on planned trips to Granada and Cadiz. Between the tapas culture, beautiful architecture, and the city being so walkable, I thought Seville was a great place to study abroad. Also getting to experience large scale cultural celebrations including Semana Santa and Feria de Abril was incredible because I had never seen anything like it in the United States and I feel like this allowed me to further immerse myself and understand Spanish culture. I lived in a student residency which I would compare to dorms, but I had my own room with my own bathroom, and kitchen, which I absolutely loved. It was fun to be living in the same building as the other students in my program as well as Spanish students. I was able to bike to my classes at the University of Seville, which I really enjoyed. I am a health science major at home, but I enjoyed taking classes such as Spanish Cuisines, Introduction to Spanish Cultural Studies, Painting in Literary Seville, and Spain’s Classical Heritage: Between History and Mythology. Throughout my entire time in Spain, I felt supported by the API staff, and they were great at answering any questions, checking up, and making sure we needed was set it. They genuinely cared about every student and their experience. I cannot recommend studying abroad in Seville with API enough.
