Well organized and great activities

I volunteered at GDR's children's dental clinic in Siem Reap in March 2026. It was all around a great experience. So great, I plan to return next year. I was a non-dental volunteer, so I assisted dentists and hygienists and learned a lot (!) about dentistry. Overall, we worked 6 days and then had a few days of great sightseeing trips: An elephant preserve, Angkor Wat and surrounding temples, a local circus. The clinic was well run and included local volunteers. After clinic hours, the entire group of 15 would eat dinner together and socialize. I'd say just about every volunteer was a cool person, that I enjoyed hanging out with.

We stayed in a lovely hotel with a swimming pool and a wonderful staff. Siem Reap is a wonderful small city, with lots to do and lots to explore.
