About Program

The Summer School “Egyptologists as museum curators: an immersive training” is an academic program offered by the University of Pisa in collaboration with the Egyptian Museum in Turin. The main objective of the School is to provide a theoretical and practical approach to the ancient Egyptian object as part of a collection. Every object is an accumulation of different stories, both ancient and modern, ranging from its production, use, deposition, discovery, up to its acquisition, conservation and display. The school will offer the unique opportunity to tackle Egyptian objects from all these different angles, from theoretical to more pragmatic perspectives, exposing participants to a variety of museum practice thanks to an immersive experience in the Turin Egyptian Museum environment.

It looks like this program may not be available right now, but don’t worry, University of Pisa has plenty of other amazing programs to check out!
