About Program
Experience Japan as a local through the Associated Kyoto Program (AKP)! This is designed for students who don’t just want to study in Japan, but also want to live in the country.
Every aspect of the AKP experience — from elective courses taught by distinguished faculty to weekly practica on Japanese culture and a homestay with a local family — allows you to live in Japan as an insider, and not as merely a traveler.
Kyoto is an ideal place to develop a strong sense of Japanese language and culture, and the AKP Center at Doshisha University will serve as a convenient hub to explore different paths into the heart of the city.
