About Program

OrphFund is a volunteer based organization helping abandoned, orphaned, and vulnerable children around the world.

Typically we run 1 or 2 projects a year in one of our beneficiary countries. Projects run from anything from 3-6 weeks and see a group of like minded people come together to work together on a variety of activities. All volunteers raise funds before they go, 100% of which is then spent on what we have outlined to achieve within that project. They pay for their own flights and need spending money to cover the small costs of living and accommodation.

We've placed over 100 volunteer to date who have helped build schools and residential homes, painted walls, constructed furniture, planted trees, run sewing workshops, established gardens, built chicken runs and so on. In addition our teams always assist with helping profile the children, organise health care checks and arrange events such as sports days and day trips. Everyday is action packed, making for a truly rewarding experience!

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
