About Program

Cristy's Pride Tutoring is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free tutoring to elementary school students in low-income areas in the subjects of mathematics, writing, and reading. Right now, we offer our services in Barranquilla and Santa Marta, Colombia.

This upcoming July we are going to offer 2 sessions of service trips to Barranquilla, Colombia in which our volunteers will teach English to elementary school students at local public schools.

What makes our service trips so unique is that they are the perfect combination between service, adventure and fun. Volunteers will get the opportunity to visit 3 amazing cities in Colombia: Barranquilla, Santa Marta and Cartagena. Students will teach english in the mornings or afternoons to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and spend the rest of their time exploring the city.

This program will also give non-Spanish speakers the opportunity to improve in the language through Spanish immersion. Volunteers are not required to speak Spanish to participate in our program.
