The mission and goals of this program cannot be accomplished without the financial contribution of the participants, who are the lifeblood of this non-profit endeavor. The vast majority of money collected from the participants go directly towards the solar systems we install, food and lodging accommodations, and compensation for our hard working staff.
Project Cost and Expenses in total for 2 weeks are $1200. From this we finance:
Accommodation and Food ($300), Transportation ($200), Instructor / staff costs ($300), Materials for the workshop($200), Solar Systems ($200). These are approximated numbers, but all of what our volunteers pay is used accordingly and finances the project.

About Program

Our Solar Power Workshop is a yearly group project, where we invite foreign and local participants to learn about Solar Energy.

We donate and install solar systems to rural schools that are located off-grid. We educate the local community about solar power, system maintenance, and we teach our participants how to make solar panels themselves by hand!

As a participant in our Solar Power Project you will gain an understanding of the basic principles of photovoltaic power and solar panels. You will receive theory and practical lessons on solar energy. We will make panels from scratch and install solar systems. We will also install solar systems on one or two of the places we will donate the solar system to (varying locations throughout the Osa Peninsula).

We will also have time for fun activities, and we will take the group surfing, hiking, dolphin watching, snorkeling, and kayaking.. there is time for work and play during the 2-week course.
