About Program
Sea Turtle Conservation: The season runs from July to December with night patrols and, from September, hatchling releases and nest exhumations. Between January and June, turtle activity is low, so daytime patrols are held three times a week to relocate eggs, along with signage and beach sectoring.
Daytime Bird Monitoring: Conducted three times weekly from January to June and less frequently from July to December due to turtle season. Volunteers observe bird behavior, identify species, collect data, and plant native vegetation.
Permaculture: Includes composting, organic waste management, natural fertilizers, eco-friendly repellents, and basic garden and soil care.
Coastal Monitoring: Involves beach cleanups, studying waste, microplastics, sea level rise, and erosion, then recycling collected materials. All activities include training and creative workshops for volunteers.
The volunteer includes three meals per day and Wifi.
