About Program
Destination: St Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean
Periods of the programme:
- 3 months at CICD Studies, investigations and practical training. You learn about the reasons for the climate crisis and what we can do to mitigate it, how it is connected with the growing gap between the rich and the poor. You dive into the many things we can do to create awareness and live a more sustainable life, as well as train many practical skills in the area of organic food production: making compost, irrigation, companion-planting, natural fertilizer, and more.
- 3 months at Richmond Vale Academy in St Vincent & the Grenadines, volunteering with environmental projects and community development. Here you get involved in the centre's ecological farm production, learn about coral restoration, plant mangroves and other trees, organise actions to improve garbage control in the villages, teach about climate change, and more
- 1 month back at CICD to conclude

Program Impact
A basic level of English is required as all the training and on the project the spoken language is English. However, we have always had very diverse teams, meaning you will never be stuck not understanding something alone. We all help each other.
