About Program

Caras Alegres Tarde is our core program. From Monday to Thursday we open up our doors in the afternoon for children between 5 and 14. We do handicrafts, sports, play different games… while teaching them about social values. One of the key motivations behind this program is the fact that it keeps up to 85 children off the streets.

We are looking for people to help with the afterschool program – playing with and supervising the children, organizing games or crafts, helping with set-up and clean-up. You are welcome to bring your own ideas for activities and workshops, and be prepared to get right into the hustle and bustle with our kids!

We are looking for volunteers with a big heart and an open mind that have some basic level of Spanish. We are not expecting our volunteers to have previous experience with children but that is an advantage. If you are a team player, proactive and not afraid to get little messy and work with limited resources, you might be a perfect fit for us!
