About Program
Niños de Guatemala (NDG) offers international volunteer opportunities ranging from short-term placements of 4 weeks to 3 months, as well as long-term commitments of 6 months to 1 year. Volunteers should be flexible, motivated, and passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children. A positive attitude and openness to embracing Guatemalan culture will help participants settle in and fully enjoy the experience. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and a $250 program fee is required to join.

Location
Antigua was the capital of Guatemala prior to a major earthquake that left most of the city in ruins. Guatemala city then became the capital, and Antigua city returned into a small town until the whole city was deemed a UNESCO world heritage site. Attractions include monuments and buildings, as they preserve Guatemala's historical beauty and showcase the Spanish influence in the area.
