About Program

Are you passionate about community development? Moved by the hardships facing Guatemala's indigenous communities? Comfortable speaking basic Spanish and nonplussed by rudimentary living conditions? If so, read on!

Our communities, which sit in the beautiful, lush, stunningly bio-diverse lowlands of Guatemala, have yet to enjoy the development that has reached Guatemala's urban centers. 90% of the region lives below the poverty level; 2 of our 34 member communities have access to paved roads and electricity and none have running water. Education, healthcare, and economic opportunities are lacking or nonexistent.

Volunteers are desperately needed to:

Teach English and the arts • deliver health education workshops • organize women's groups • assist with household infrastructure projects (wells, latrines, stoves) • provide technical (job skill) trainings • develop responsible eco/cultural tourism initiatives

Don't just volunteer- join us and become part of our community!
