Join TWESA's Community Agents of Change Program in Karonga, Malawi, and become part of a grassroots effort to create lasting positive change. Volunteers work alongside local communities in projects focused on education, youth empowerment, women's economic development, environmental conservation, health promotion, and sustainable agriculture.
Whether you are a student, professional, retiree, or first-time volunteer, you will have the opportunity to share your skills while learning from Malawian culture and traditions. Volunteers can support community outreach activities, assist with educational programs, participate in tree planting initiatives, help improve water and sanitation practices, or contribute to health and nutrition awareness campaigns.

Program Impact
Volunteers play an active role in shaping their experience and can contribute according to their skills, interests, and professional background. Those with specialized expertise, such as healthcare, education, agriculture, social work, or business development, may be connected with local partner institutions for more focused placements.
TWESA encourages volunteers to develop creative solutions to local challenges and work alongside community members to implement sustainable projects. Previous volunteers have supported school improvement initiatives, community health education, environmental conservation activities, youth mentoring programs, and social support services.
