About Program

The Small World is a not-for-profit charitable organization supporting locally driven sustainable community development projects. These projects help to provide education for children, especially young girls at risk from exploitation to break down the barriers to girls' education and empowerment opportunities for local communities to break the cycle of poverty.
A volunteer adventure with The Small World is one of the best ways to discover the fascinating Nepali culture up close and personal, make a real difference in improving others’ lives, create warm and lasting friendships, plus have an unforgettable, life changing experience.
Program Highlights
- Authentic cultural experience, visiting local families, sharing meals, dancing, and great foods
- Experiencing Poja Buddhist Puja ceremony
- Working directly with local community members
- Traveling to Himalayan community for best view of many snow capped peaks including Mount Everest
