Loved it!

The trip was really inspiring. For the volunteer portion of the trip we worked with a community living on the outskirts of El Nido. The families that we worked with all had high incidences of malnutrition, so we taught them sustainable agricultural practices and helped them start their own garden so that they could grow their own food. We also worked with them to teach healthy meal preparation techniques and explained the different nutrients that are needed for a healthy diet. The families were all very appreciative and loved working their land with us. We also showed them basic sanitation techniques. I really enjoyed working with the families and even though I didn't have much experience with agriculture and nutrition the project leader taught us everything that we needed to know. The adventure part of the trip was intense, fun, and relaxing. The islands and the beaches are stunning. I think El Nido is the most beautiful place I've ever been. The activities are well planned and ongoing yet there is enough time at each place to really enjoy it, so I never felt like the trip was rushed. I loved our cycling trip around the northern part of Palawan, the jungles are beautiful and I loved seeing the villages along the way. Overall, excellent trip!

What would you improve about this program?
I'd like to also camp overnight during the cycling trip - maybe near the waterfall that we visited.
