About Program
Volunteering at 1B4 is not only a permaculture experience with many farming activities from the delicate transplanting of seedlings and seed saving to construction of shelters for plants and animals, there will be some physically testing days and some mentally testing days. Not only will you be involved in everyday farm life, ie making compost, planting, harvesting and making preserves, you will also be involved in the planning, designing and marketing. 1B4 also has two community projects which volunteers will be helping with. One is Bongimfundo Primary School, where we are implementing permaculture gardens and helping to uplift the school by doing some maintenance on the building, fund raising, and doing their social media. The other is Harold Johnson Nature Reserve where we will be helping with alien vegetation eradication, tree tagging, game counts, construction and fund raising. Join us in our venture to live and work with Nature and each other. "We are most powerful together"
