About Program
If you want a gap year or travel experience where you’ll see some incredible wildlife in their natural environment and get to work in communities with some of the most positive people you’ll ever meet – South Africa is the one.
The Greater Kruger is one of Africa's great wilderness areas, in the shadow of the Drakensberg. You'll work with the community of Metsi on food gardens, playgrounds and infrastructure with Nourish, and alongside the Cape Vulture Conservancy clearing invasive species and thinning bush. Then the trek: up to 200km through the Northern Mpumalanga Drakensberg, climbing around 1000m a day with a full pack, camping in a different spot each night.
Our South Africa Expeditions run for 8 and 4 weeks year-round, and are open to 18-24 year olds from across the globe.
