About Program

A wonderful opportunity to teach music to youth in previously marginalized communities presents itself!! Our program is uniquely designed to host local and international volunteers. The program is managed by us and we take great pride and responsibility in what we do. Our programme runs as an extra mural activity, from Monday to Friday with occasional weekends where students perform at various event and occasions.

You have the opportunity to teach the following instruments:

Drumkit
Marimbas
Guitar (bass, electric, acoustic)
Keys
Horns

Bring your own instrument, or use what we have available!!! We are situated in the most beautiful region in South Africa, the Western Cape, in Heidelberg and Swellendam. We work with these beautiful communties to help inspire, educate and impact the youth.

Music transcends our worlds

One of the most memorable experiences of my life. Primarily, it was connecting with the children, many of them were so invest in making music because that’s all they had in their lives. Hearing their stories and seeing how much the program has changed them melted my heart. Then, it was the execution: absolutely flawless. Everything was well out together, organised and thought through. Last, it was the instructor - Junayne - who was not just a brilliant teacher but an enthusiast and a life coach.

Yes, I recommend this program

Great experience and lots of fun

The experience was really fun and i was introduced to the marimba. I was able to bond with the people in my group and the views and scenery was amazing. Through the people in the program, i was able to tour the nearby village and learn a lot more about their way of life. The instructor was extremely energetic and brought a lot of life to the group - and being able to meet the kids that were involved in the program was wonderful. They were all so sweet and welcoming and are amazing at playing the marimba.
