Volunteer Manual Work - help our grassroots NGO change lives

The Outdoor program incorporates a variety of work; including bridge construction, building toilet blocks, concreting access paths into fields, painting, and general maintenance. The type of work depends on our priorities (which may change at short notice, especially if there is an emergency), budget available, and occasionally the weather. We want volunteers who wish to work hard, put their needs secondary to the project, be flexible and relaxed, understand and respect local cultures, and are physically fit.

The Outdoor team spends the first and third week on site at the foundation, while the second and fourth weeks (Tues-Fri) are spent on a working homestay - usually a hill tribe village.

The foundation is situated around 18km from Chiang Rai town, in the countryside. It is quiet, traditional, and very rural. Expect early nights, basic accommodation and food, hard wok, and lots of fun!
