Nursing Students in Guatemala

Having the opportunity to work in local clinics within Antigua, Guatemala was an invaluable experience, and Maximo Nivel helped to make the experience smooth and successful. As a group of nursing students, we were able to help with a variety of patients, and work side-by-side with doctors, nurses, and nutritionists. This not only allowed us to see the healthcare system within Guatemala firsthand, but gave us the chance to make an impact on several individuals. The focus on prevention strategies and optimal nutrition for children within the communities especially proved to go a long way. We were so blessed to have the chance to work within such communities.
