Review

I loved living in Paris for a month and studying French at the Catholic Institute of Paris through CIS Abroad. I was able to enhance my French skills and meet other study abroad students from around the world. The program director, Drasko, was extremely helpful and I really enjoyed the tours and trips around the city that he organized. One of my favorite excursions was definitely going to Musee D'Orsay and seeing all the mesmerizing art. I had a Eurail pass and spent the weekends visiting other cities and countries. There was so much to explore and it was all so accessible from Paris!

When I applied to the program, the CIS Abroad website said that student apartments would be in the 6th arrondissement, however when I arrived I was place in an apartment in the 16th arrondissement. Also, the CIS Abroad website said that students would have classes only certain days per week and only in the mornings. However, when I arrived and got my class schedule, I ended up having class more days per week than I was told and I also had class in the afternoons. I was not informed until I was in Paris that this information I had was incorrect. Naturally, I was very irritated by the misinformation because that was all I had to base my choice of study abroad program on. If I had the accurate information at the time when I was making my decision, I might have chosen a different program or at least have been able to schedule my time abroad better.
