Good experience overall

I volunteered at Angloville around 8 times. The experience of being a conversation partner was great - great people, great conversations, good fun all round.
The days are long but there is usually time (in the summer) to go cycling, running or for a walk during the breaks and in the mornings.
My problem with the programmes was the accommodation. More specifically, the sharing of rooms. I find it very strange that Angloville cannot stump up the extra money to give their volunteers single accommodation. I did have a single room on my first two or three courses but then they said it was no longer available. I am sure this puts off many people from attending, especially those aged 30+. Sharing with a stranger is just something I (and others) don't want to do!
