Get in the door

I am glad I ended up going with CIEE. The program is expensive and I am not getting paid much in Thailand. But CIEE made moving to another country easier. I am not sure I would have been able to do it myself. Now that I am here, I have the experience to go off on my own and find a placement better for me. Going to a city and school without knowing much is risky and scary. But it turned out to be pretty good. This is a year I will never forget and one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I had plenty of time to travel and see Thailand. At times I have had to be very careful with how I spend my money. It is a comfortable amount and I have been able to go on lots of trips but at the end of the month I usually do not have any money left. I have also been lucky to be placed with 4 other CIEE people and it has been wonderful.
