The best decision I made for 2019!

In general, I enjoyed this training course so much! The home-study portion introduced me to the basics of the course and while it was quite a lot to take in, it definitely was very informative.

When I arrived at the International Airport, the Text & Talk team were there to pick me up and take me to the apartment. Since I arrived a bit early, I got to relax and experience a bit of Thailand before the first day of the TEFL Course.

The first day was relaxing and we had a great Orientation Lunch together. Following the lunch, we received very useful information about job-hunting and the PPP Methodology. We finished off the day learning about Thai Culture and some Survival Thai.

The trainers and staff at Text & Talk are quite professional and helpful. Some of the skills taught were related to acting, such as body language, voice projection and eye contact. I never thought these skills would be needed in a classroom but when I was shown why and how it was beneficial to the students, I was determined to master those skills. I learned how to act out body language properly – something I would not have noticed if I had not taken this course. Other skills taught that was very useful for me were class control and management, time management and many more!

I really enjoyed and valued the dry-runs/peer evaluations and that is one of the main reasons why I prefer
in-class training over online courses. You just cannot get the same results without physically experiencing them in person.

We were then taken on a Corporate Observation Trip to see how teaching is conducted in a corporate environment. This was very fun as the staff loved making jokes, interacting and I got to chat with all of them!

After that, we were ready for our Practice Teachings at a Thai School. We had groups of young learners and also high school students. I enjoyed both groups and found the whole experience very enlightening. I got to see and understand my weaknesses in different classes, and I would adjust accordingly to make sure that once I ended the lesson, the students would go home and have learned something.

The course was wonderful, from the Trainers to the Admin team. They were all supportive and guided us towards our goals. I also made new friends who I will not forget.

This TEFL Course definitely fulfilled my needs and goals that I set before coming here.
