Angloville is great for networking and working on ESL teaching skills. It also requires you to be a good listener and come up with appropriate topics of conversation for people of varying English abilities.
The accomodations vary depending on the program. Yes, it's volunteer work so the focus should be on working with people and helping them achieve their English learning goals, not what time the bar opens or if the wifi is any good. Volunteers come from all walks of life so be prepared to deal with their issues, not necessarily the native speakers'. Luckily, the program coordinators are very adept in handling all kind of situations and are always available for addressing issues.
It's a rewarding experience though. You kind of have to take it for what it's worth.
