This was an amazing projects I loved everyday. All the workers were friendly and made me laugh. They were great company and were always making jokes. The work was good however there were some times where we were just sitting around and waiting for someone to tells us what to do. Out of the two projects I construction was my favorite because there were other people in my position unlike in the research where it was only me and the two guides. however I know this is not because of the staff. However at the construction on my second week there were four of us which I felt was too many for that project at one time. The problem with research station was that I didn't know what to do when the Guides weren't there. They would leave me to do my own research if I had some but I didn't so I would just have to sit there and wait.

Would you recommend this program?

I've loved my experience with inlexca. Living with a host family is the best way to become part of the culture. The family was very friendly and made delicious meals. The construction project was very fulfilling because you get to the house grow from nothing. All the worker were friendly, fun and up for a laugh. They made me feel very welcome and part of the team. This project taught me team working skills and how to learn quickly on the job. The research station project was completely different to the construction and was a great change of pace. The station was in the cloud forest and all the view were amazing. It was a great way to see the rain forest and help the environment. The research was extremely interesting and I did something different everyday so I was never bored. The station was a great insight into how people do research on the many animals in the jungle. The best thing about the projects in Costa Rica is that you can travel on the weekends and see so much as everything is nearby. I was able to go to la fortuna and Manuel Antonio and see what Costa Rica had to offer.
