Spannocchia Internship Review

The Spannocchia internship is much more than just working on a farm - it is also about community building, teamwork, exposure to Italian culture and traditions, and much more. The day to day schedule provides time for personal reflection and goal setting. I foraged friendships that will last a lifetime. The work is hard but very rewarding. However, it is not an internship for everyone. You have to be able to live in a small tight community, where everyone knows each others' business, as well as work long days. There is lots to learn but there is also plenty of "play" - field trips, food tastings, group meals at local restaurants, etc. My time at Spannocchia was eye opening and life changing and if I could do it again I 100 percent would. It was a dream to live in Tuscany and it was such an amazing opportunity.
