Zambia - Dream Livingstone, Care of the Elderly

Volunteering in Zambia is an amazing experience. Not only do you get the opportunity to help the locals in projects but you see Zambia in a way you wouldn't as a tourist.
IVHQ and Dream Livingstone supported me from the moment I booked until the moment I landed back in the UK so I never felt unsure or to apprehensive about anything.
The care home I worked in made me feel very welcome as did all the elderly people living there, you need to have an open mind and except things might be done differently but as long as you do, you will have an experience that is fulfilling and rewarding.
I knew I would enjoy my time at my placement but I never expected to also have the time of my life! I am lucky enough to be well travelled but my 3 weeks in Zambia will remain in my heart and memory forever.
This experience is suitable for anyone at any age who want to volunteer abroad. Just do it - you will not regret it!
