Review

I spent four weeks in Zambia with African Impact and I loved every second of it. I made friends from all over the world and experienced the incredible Zambian culture. I did the NGO Internship where I saw to completing the weekly reports, data collection, lesson planning and teaching/presenting. It has really given me an insight into the behind-the-scenes work done at a non-profit organisation. On the weekends, we had free time and I did filled it with activities such as: a night trip in Chobe National Safari Park in Botsawana, bungee jumping in Victoria Falls, white water rafting and seeing the lunar rainbow at the Falls. I would highly recommend African Impact to everyone!!

Would you recommend this program?

I didn't want to put this online because it isn't technically part of African Impact and is about the Gym, but I do also believe you have a responsibility to keep girls safe. I know you have heard of this complaint a lot but we felt not enough was done about it. Claudus is a 31-year-old man and it is very inappropriate for him to be asking all the girls how old they are, and then when he finds someone that is 18-early 20s, start to hit on them. I saw this happen to girls that came before and after me, and also personally experienced it. Claudus has the same game play. First he plays beer pong and holds your hand for too long when high fiving, then he will give you free drinks, then he will try to sit on you and when you go to bed, he will follow and walk around outside asking passerbys what room you are in. If there is people inside, he will go in (which he is not allowed to do) and try to find another girl to hit on. I understand he is your friend but I am so worried he will go way too far and will deter people from African Impact.
