Great Experience in Puerto Rico

I loved volunteering in Puerto Rico via the IVHQ organization. They provided all of the resources and tools necessary for a successful cultural experience. From assigned locations and duties, the Airport pickup, and the arranged outings, the whole experience opened up a world of future opportunities. I was placed in an English Speaking classroom wherein the students spoke minimal English and were instructed by a certified school teacher who was bilingual. I observed and assisted the Head teacher with the daily classroom assignments and learned a little about the culture and the Educational system. I plan on returning one day for a longer period of time. At any rate, it was definitely an enlightening opportunity and I would encourage others to volunteer to assist in some way through one of the available IVHQ programs.
