Interning in Madrid

Recently I spent a month in Madrid developing my design skills thanks to InternMadrid. I chose InternMadrid because the programme looked value for money and the experience is what I needed. They gave me the change to move, live and work in a Spanish company for a month. With little knowledge of speaking Spanish, it was challenging but the language barrier wasn't a problem.

The reason I chose Madrid was because I wanted experience a different culture and see how another country uses design in their daily lives. This experience means that I can now further my career as a graphic designer and get into a job I want.

The InternMadrid staff have been there whenever I need them, especially Thalassa. Whenever I got lost or just needed someone to show me the way around Madrid she was there.

Overall this experience has been worth it. At first the idea can be daunting and the money aspect can be scary too but I feel that everything was worth it and if I was given the chance, I would do it again...maybe when there are more interns!
