Multilingual and Multicultural Spain: My 5-Week Experience

The Barcelona team at CEA CAPA amazed me with their level of commitment to students like me. I could tell how hard they worked to make studying abroad as convenient and stress-free as possible for us students, from putting our apartments in a quiet, local area with easy access to the metro to having the study center in the heart of the city.

Another factor I was impressed by was the level of dedication and insight that the Barcelona team put into our tours and excursions. The tours, from the Gothic Quarter to the Olympic Stadium, captured my attention in every way! The team knew the details of our coursework and were careful to have us go on tours where the tour guide spoke Spanish and where we learned about Catalán history, culture, and identity. The excursions were amazing, as the staff accompanied us to Valencia and Girona and helped give us insight into the places we were meeting and people we encountered. Their choice of going to each of these cities was also fitting for the specific content we were learning in our Spanish language and linguistics courses. The housing situations for our excursions were also comfortable and convenient!
