Academics, Housing, and CEA Support with Adjusting Into the Local Culture

I studied abroad in the Spring of 2024 in Barcelona and loved every minute of it! My classes with CEA were extremely interactive as every one of them included out of class activities that incorporated parts of Barcelona's culture. In my Spanish class, we went to a local cafe and practiced our Spanish outside of the classroom and in my Art and Architecture class we took several field trips to some of Gaudí's most esteemed buildings! Additionally, we watched a local movie at a local movie theater in Barcelona for my Spanish Cinema class! In terms of housing, I LOVED our apartment with a beautiful balcony view and its simplistic, cozy design. Throughout it all, CEA was extremely helpful in the adjustment process, offering numerous opportunities to engage with local customs and experience learning in a new way. I especially loved the opportunity to meet with a local Barcelona college student to practice my Spanish and help her with her English!
