Fall 2024 Abroad in Rome with CEA CAPA

This past fall I studied abroad in Rome with Providence College's program, through CEA CAPA. I had an amazing experience there, and the CEA CAPA team was super supportive throughout the process. Providence's Rome program was specifically appealing to me because the school is involved in the program and how it is structured, which added a certain level of support, comfort, and ease into the experience. The majority of the program is students from Providence, but there are a few other schools involved too and it was so fun to meet people from other schools as well. I personally went in not knowing anyone in my program, which was hard at first, but I ended up making a ton of new friends both from Providence and other schools. My favorite part of Providence's program with CEA CAPA in Rome is that you have to live in an apartment with one Italian roommate. My Italian roommate and I became really good friends and it was so helpful to learn about Italian culture and Rome from her. All of the Italian roommates in the program were amazing, and I think having them is a great addition to the abroad experience. CEA CAPA also provided a ton of activities and meals throughout the semester that were super fun to meet other students through and just to have something fun to do. I highly recommend the program to anyone thinking of going abroad.
