Review

Working as a language assistant in Málaga through RVF International has been such an amazing experience. From the start, RVF was super helpful — they walked me through the visa process, gave tons of helpful info before I moved, and were always there to answer questions once I got to Spain. Having that support made a big difference, especially during those first few weeks.

Living in Málaga has honestly been a dream. The city is beautiful, super walkable, full of life, and the weather is hard to beat. I loved working at my school — the teachers and students were really welcoming, and I felt like part of the community pretty quickly. It’s been a great mix of professional growth and just enjoying the Spanish lifestyle.

The only thing I’d flag is the pay. It’s doable, but if you’re planning to live on your own without roommates, it can be a bit tight — especially in a bigger city like Málaga. So if you’re someone like me who prefers to live alone, just expect to pay pretty much your whole stipend on a studio apartment and bring enough savings for your day to day living expenses because the stipend is not gonna cut it.

Overall, I’d 100% recommend RVF to anyone thinking about teaching in Spain. It’s been such a rewarding experience, and they helped take on all the challenging bureaucratic stuff on so I could relax knowing that my appointments were made and all I needed to do was be sure to show up and have my paperwork ready and enjoy my time here more. I’ve made memories (and friendships!) that I know will stick with me for a long time.
