Studying Chinese while living with a host family was the most immersive experience I could’ve asked for. My classes at the university were engaging and well-structured, but what really accelerated my learning was using Chinese every day at home — from meals to casual chats. My host family treated me like one of their own, introducing me to local customs and helping me practice naturally. It wasn’t just about learning a language — it was about living the culture. I came home more fluent, more independent, and with memories I’ll always cherish.
