A Professional Teacher

I came into the course knowing very little about teaching English, and I left having learned a lot about effective teaching methodologies and techniques. What stood out most for me were the Observed Teaching Practices. I had the opportunity to teach six classes across a range of proficiency levels and age groups—from kindergarten kids to young adults.

Honestly, my first lesson didn’t go well—but by the end, I was teaching working adults in a corporate setting, and Vantage’s lead trainer called that final lesson “professional quality.” That kind of progress speaks volumes about the quality of the training.

It was this real classroom experience that helped me grow in confidence and adapt my teaching style to different learners.

I’m extremely happy with the course and would completely recommend it to anyone considering a career in teaching English. Apparently, someone’s listening—my wife has already committed to doing Vantage’s TEFL program in a few months!
