Belize 2025

Going on the Therapy Abroad program in Belize was truly eye-opening. Belize is English-speaking, so though you’ll hear Creole, communication isn’t a huge barrier unlike in many other Latin American countries. That made working with kids and families way richer and more authentic. It was helpful experience to work on my clinical skills in documentation. It was very hard at times but watching the kids smile and make progress was worth it. There were some instance of supervisors not being clear on expectations.
