I had a really good experience overall with the Intern Group program in Madrid. They did a great job matching me with a law firm that aligned with my interest in corporate and M&A work. One thing to note is that my internship was in-person, which meant a traditional nine-to-six schedule. That was totally fine for me, but it did mean I had a bit less flexibility for some social events compared to others who were remote. On the plus side, there were times when the workload lightened up a bit, and that actually let me join some activities around the city, which I appreciated.

Since I already live in Madrid, I didn’t have the same ‘new city’ experience that some other interns might have, but I can see how that would be a bonus for people coming from abroad. And having my own place was definitely a comfort, especially during the hotter months. Overall, I’d say the program is really valuable if you’re looking for a tailored internship experience and some career-specific placement.

I think this was a really unique experience and like for me the biggest thing was working in the heart of madrid's legal centre which is something I probably would've had a harder time accomplishing if it wasn't through the connections of intern group and for that I'm really grateful and I will definitely say that this is an experience that shaped my life. So thank you!
