My Journey as a Beach Cleanup Volunteer in Northern Spain

Volunteering to clean beaches in northern Spain was an eye-opening and deeply rewarding experience for me. Each morning, I walked along the coastline with a bag and gloves, collecting plastic, ropes, and other debris swept in by the tides. Seeing how much waste ends up in such beautiful places was shocking, but it also motivated me to keep going. I met amazing people who shared my passion for protecting the ocean, and together we turned every cleanup into a moment of teamwork and hope. Beyond helping the environment, I loved breathing the salty air, admiring the cliffs, and feeling connected to nature in a new way. This experience made me more aware of how our choices affect marine life and inspired me to adopt more sustainable habits in my everyday life.
