To be completely honest, I was terrified of going abroad. I thought the semester would feel way too long and was nervous about being away from home for an extended period. Yet, CEA CAPA proved me completely wrong, and the semester flew by. Keeping busy is a huge thing for me, and I knew I needed that when I arrived in Sevilla to distract me from being homesick. From the moment I got there, CEA did a good job with their orientation activities and helping us acclimate. We did a bike tour around the city, a guided neighborhood walk, and visited La Giralda and the cathedral. The team at CEA CAPA was so genuine and helped me feel safe and supported instantly. They genuinely want this experience to be amazing for you. All my professors were super lovely, and I had great experiences with all of them. The workload was extremely manageable, and I appreciated that they tried to teach us outside the classroom as much as possible. My housing was great; I lived with four other girls, and our apartment felt safe and clean. We even made friends with the apartment cleaners, knew the apartment owner, and were provided with any resources we needed. The location was also fantastic because we were close to the city center and less than a 10-minute walk from school. While many other factors contributed to having the best time of my life in Sevilla, I owe much of it to CEA CAPA. This program is fantastic, and I am forever grateful for everyone I crossed paths with because of CEA CAPA.
